FREEZIN’ FOR A REASON

Penguin Plunge is the largest grassroots fundraiser to benefit Special Olympics Connecticut. Participants (“Penguins” / “Plungers”) raise funds to run (Plunge) into the chilly waters of Connecticut.

There are many ways you can participate in this wonderful and important event:
-You can become a Plunger and gather the support and donations from your family, friends, coworkers and community members
-You can make your own team of Plungers or join one that is already registered
-You can donate to an individual Plunger or Team
-You can come to Winding Trails on January 25th to support the Plungers in person

Your participation provides funding to support over 14,000 athletes who participate in Special Olympics Connecticut’s year-round training and competition in 27 sports. Costumes are encouraged for all plungers – there are even awards for the best costumes!

Favarh is a consistent participant in this yearly event and welcomes any support and assistance you are willing to provide...especially New Plungers! 50% of any donations received on behalf of the Favarh Penguin Plunge team will go directly to the Favarh Local Delegation of Special Olympics Connecticut. These funds are used for event registrations, uniforms, equipment, transportation and much more.
