COVID-19 Response

COVID-19 FAVARH CAREGIVER UPDATE #2 - 3/16/2020

To All Caregivers,

In light of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) outbreak, Favarh is taking active and ongoing steps to protect the individuals we serve and our staff. Our number one focus is prevention. Our goal is to keep everyone safe. We thank you for joining in our preventative efforts.

Since Monday, March 2nd we have been and will continue to follow CDC guidelines to maintain people’s safety. Most recently actions taken were updated to include keeping individuals and staff in smaller groups and practicing social distancing, requiring employees to stay home when sick or when a household member is sick, encouraging good respiratory etiquette and hand washing, performing additional cleaning of surfaces in Favarh program spaces and vehicles, handing food with extra care, and ordering extra supplies for cleaning and food for our residences. Plans are in place for residences to begin to isolate-in-place as needed and we have begun these procedures for several residences with our most vulnerable populations. To view our COVID-19 RESPONSE PLAN and CONTINUITY OF OPERATIONS PLAN, visit favarh.org/updates.

Families please note that transportation pick up and drop off times may be inconsistent until things get back normal.   We regret an exact time cannot be provided, and your bus may come earlier or later than the usual time. We appreciate your flexibility and understanding. If there is ever a question on timing, you may call Transportation directly at 860-352-8002 and we will do our best to give an estimate on timing.

In this quickly evolving situation, our plans will dictate an appropriate response as circumstances change. As long as it is possible, Favarh will strive to continue to provide programs and services that are safe, practical and necessary. With your help and support, we will get through this together.
